Current Meters

Knowing what current is being used is critical to weld quality. It is not possible to get anything other than a rough visual indication of whether a weld is good or not.
A good current meter enhances weld standards and ensures that weld procedures are being followed.
The WCM300 meter will monitor and display all weld parameters. It will monitor AC or DC (medium frequency) current and will read in cycles (AC) or milli-seconds (MFDC).
The data for the last 63 single welds or 9 multi-pulse welds is stored. Firing angle of the thyristors is displayed, so if working in “Constant Current” mode it can be seen if the secondary circuit is deteriorating.
- Current range: 1 … 10 and 5 … 50 kA
- AC current 50 and 60 Hz, 1/2 to 99 cycles
- DC current 10 to 800 ms
- Number of pulses in a weld - up to 9
- Cycle blanking – up to 99 cycles in AC or 800ms in DC mode
- Conduction angle 30 to 180 degrees
- Memory for up to 63 weld pulses
- Memory for welds consisting of up to 9 pulses
- Power supply: 2 AA batteries for up to 10 hours uninterrupted function.
- Power OFF if no weld within 2.5 min.
